    Hi Jennifer!  I do get heartburn from time to time.  Mostly, I am bloated for hours after I eat.  I live in Canada so the tests should be covered by OHIP.  Thanks so much for the advice :)  I hope you are having a good night.

    Hey Tracy :)  I hope you're having a good day! 

    Your regular doc can do the blood test for Celiac but it's not reliable.  You should have an endoscopy. 

    Do you have insurance?

    Do you have heartburn? 
    If you have heartburn you should have an endoscopy and your insurance has to cover it I think.

    Thanks Jennifer.  I went gluten free last year and really didn't find that it made much of a difference but in light of my new tummy issues, it is worth looking in to.  I don't have a gastroenterologist, can my family Doc do the tests?

    Hey Tracy,

    Please get tested for Celiac disease if you havent' already.  My husband had atypical symptoms and at an endoscopy they discovered he had Celiac.  Please ask your gastroenterologist about it.  The blood tests are not always accurate and weight loss is not always present nor is vomiting.
