I have been taking Topamax for migraine preventions for about a year.  I recently asked my pain clinic physician about using Lyrica for my FMS and he he refused saying that Topamax acts in a similar way as Lyrica does for fibromyalgia so patients that are on Topamax for migraines are also getting benefits for their fibro also.

My treatment is not in the list at least couldn't find it. Zolft and amitriptline and ibroprophen. Are the only combination that works and doctors have decided after recent rescue trips not to put me on any of the treatments out there at this time. For some reason alot of swelling in vital breathing areas. Other treatments may increase this problem. May be others with this treatment I am on. Or may be the only one it works with. Who knows.
