A support group/get to know each other meeting.

Lynnette had a great idea to try and get everyone together from TN.  A meeting so we can show each other support and get to know each other better.  We plan on meeting in Nashville and Lynette, my mother, and myself will definitely be there.  We will be meeting on the south side of Nashville where 40 comes into I-24.  Well, it depends on where everyone is.  My mom knows Nashville like the back of her hand so she can coordinate where we will meet.  Spouses will be welcome but they will have to sit on the other side of the room (just kidding).  No seriously I will bring a couple decks of cards for the ones who don't want to sit in.  But no gambling for money please.

If you are interested, please put your name, where you are from, an estimate of how far it is for you to get to Nashville and what day of the week is best for you.

    If we could just find a place that would put us all the same amount of time from each other, including you Ethel!!! LOL.  We're working on it now but I really need to know how many people will honestly try to get there.

    I would be interested in coming and meeting everyone. I work full time, so Sat. or Sun. is the only time I could meet. Just let me know when and where and I will try to let you know then if I can come. My mom just had another really big stroke, she is 90 and lives with me, my mother-in-law is about to have back surgery, my husband has the flu right now and my hip is rotated out of place. Man......when it rains it pours, lol. I am looking forward to the sunshine and rainbow after all of this. :) If I am able...I would love to attend.

    Bless your heart!!!!  I am so sorry that you are going through all of this. 

    I have to talk to Lynette some more because it was her idea but the way it looks now she is the farthest away.   She said she might make a weekend out of it so maybe we can all meet in Murfreesboro or exit 97 on I-24 at the TA?  We're still working on it but I think that it is a great idea.

    I hope things get better for you soon.  You are right, when it rains, it pours!!

    I think it will definately have to be a Saturday for me too because that is the only day my mom will have.  I hope we can get this figured out.

    I will help with transportation of anyone in the middle. Like I said before Nashville is a long way. 6 hrs from me but all I40 and 81. I will most likely travel on a Friday and grab a motel room close by. I am hoping we can set some type of format that will allow me to travel closer to others and meet also. Kind of a Rolling Support Group. This would allow more of us that are interested to meet and hopefully strengthen our bond on here. I have family in NY and Pennsylvania and ideally would be able to meet some folks in that area. I'm dying to meet Jennifer in person. This will be the pilot program.

    I won't be able to go far past Nashville unfortunately.  I don't have the means and my mom isn't able to go much further than Nashville.  She has heart problems as well.  I may just have to do one here in the southern part and Lynette you could do one in the Northern part.  We'll figure something out.
