I haven't been involved here in a couple of months. I am trying to get back to participating in these groups. My sister in law and I have decided to get Fibromyalgia tatoos on May 12th or as close to that as we can manage. Is anyone else planning to get a tatoo for FMS awareness day this year?
I love tattoos, I'm gonna be 50 in July and would love to get a family tree with my 3 daughters and 2 grandsons names on a kind of vine. I've already got 2 tats one on my arm saying Reddread and a Chinese symbol on my chest saying 'special and different'
Any artistic types who could help me design or find a site/place to get some ideas I would be eternally grateful to. Need to get going on it cos I would love to get it in May.
I've had an AWEFUL reaction while on Lyrica and getting a tattoo... Lyrica made me highly prone to infections, I was that less than 1% of people with that side-effect. My tat was on my lower right leg a koi fish swimming from the side of my leg towards the front on the shin. Over night I couldn't but any weight on that leg, didn't think much of it the first couple of days as I expected it to be sore. It swelled so huge, turned so bright red and hot all around it... It was so painful I ended up in the ER where they treated me with cipro n an anti-histamine which knocked out the infection. Since I've been off of it for several months I have another tat which didn't have the same reaction at all (Thank GOD)
Hey Michelle....My diagnosis has been 2 years now as well. The fatigue pisses me off more than the pain does. Well, just wanted to say 'hey'....have a good night......
