Well, I was a freshman in highschool when I first started to feel the effects of fibro. I started to just feel sore and ache all over. I didn't sleep very much because I could just never get comfortable. These aches turned into severe pain before too long and I was only going to school half of the day. Even when I was there I couldn't focus on anything and would forget my assignments. I ended up setting alarms on my phone and computer to emind me what I needed to bring.  My doctor had me on muscle relaxers, pain meds, and anti inflammatory meds. This didn't really offer me much help at all. Some of the meds did help me sleep so that was a plus. I was finally referred to a chiropractor which gave me the most releif and pain management. During all of this treatment I ended up quitting school, and about a week after that took place I went and took my GED. A month later my scores were in and I did really well - enough to qualify for them to add the Honors to my diploma. I feel that I did miss out on a lot in school, but I really didn't want to watch all of my friends graduate and have me stuck struggling in what seemed like an endless battle just to get to the school building. It has been three and a half years since I quit school, got my GED, and also got married - I seem to be coping fairly well and have been working for a year now on November 1, 2008. I just try to stay as active as I possibly can to maintain a normal life.

(My nick-name is Becca - just if you were wondering Tongue out)

Quick Bio

I am twenty years old and am just trying to live my life to glorify God. I will have been married for eleven months on November 30, 2008 to Doug, whom I refer to very lovingly as "Stump" and sometimes "My Kiwi." Doug and I both teach class together at church and volunteer just whenever and wherever. Doug isn't too fond of pets, but we do have a cat, Zacch - who is an outside kitty. I am very close to Doug's family and we are constantly doing things together whenever we can. I have just recently decided to take up sewing; we shall see how this turns out very soon.
