NEW MEMBERS!!!!! Please say hi here.

Hello all new members!! We have gained many new faces recently and I want to welcome you all again. Please take a minute to say hello, and if you want tell us a little bit about yourself and what we can do to help you navigate this site. All of us old timers just love it here. We have a contest going on, many questions under the question tab above, and many great communities with a wealth of info. Today is the first day of spring and a great day to say hello. I know all of the site leaders are anxious to hear what you have to say and help you out in anyway we can. Older members (and I don't mean age wise) let us know what is new for spring. Hope to hear from you all.

Hello everyone - I joined about a week ago and admit I need to start spending more time :) here. I just have a difficult time sitting still for long which is why this is so frustrating for me. The medicines make me tired; especially if I am idle and/or reading for very long. I am well known as having OCD which is not helping matters lol because I end up hurting or swelled up or flat on my back on the sofa until my husband gets home and works on me for awhile. I'm so new at this that I haven't found a system that works but I have faith that eventually I will.

Anyway ... I absolutely LOVE Lynnette Marshall's Profile Picture of the Green Oil Candle and the rain and the LAND ... what I wouldn't give for a view like that out my front and back door :).

I live in a gated community in Santa Claus Indiana :( but wish I was out in the country where I could step outside without a bunch of neighbors to contend with. They're always so freaking HAPPY lol! Don't get me wrong - I like people but I just never know one day to the next how I'm going to feel and well - I'm not feeling very social right now and I'd like to be able to take a walk and just be able to enjoy my own thoughts without passing 20 people. So we're working on it and hopefully in a few years we will be able to get out in the country where I can take my walks and just enjoy the fresh air lol.

I am a mother of 3. Married to my best friend (we met in the Army back in 1994) and he is actually getting ready to do a 1 year civilian contract in Afghanistan. He intends to do this consecutively for 6 years (which is largely due to my ailing health and inability to work like I used to). It's going to be hard but thankfully our kids are older (not babies)  and he will be able to come home periodically during each year. It will be the first time in over 15 years that we've been apart though and we're just praying nothing further happens with me.

So ... how's that for a first-time introduction lol. (sorry so long)

Hello Everyone,  I am a mother of 3 grown children and grandmother of 12.  I am raising two of my granddaughters (ages 7 and 10).  I was diagnosed with fibro in 2005, and have been challenged by it daily.  My motto is "put on your happy face even if you don't mean it", in other words "fake it til you make it or until bedtime".

Today is my first day here, so I'll be spending some time over the next few days finding my way around.  I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Hi, I don't have a long time to say "hi" right now b/c it is late and I am getting very sleepy. So this is my "quick hi." I will touch base again soon.

    Hi,

I joined the site a while back although I only got my condition confirmed yesterday (waiting for the medical profession is another kind of pain)

Anyway, my name is Rea, I live on the Isle of Wight UK, married with 2 sons (one is at uni), I have a menagerie of pets which help keep me sane!
