Well, a baby is relatively light to pick up until they reach about a year old.  Thank goodness that is the time they start walking.  Knowing that it is easier to change your child's diaper when you don't have to bend over, this changing table is fantastic - because once your child can climb a few stairs you don't have to lift them up to the table anymore!  They can climb up on their own with your assistance.
