I do have children at that time I wasn't diagnosed w/FM and the pain I had wasn't like now.

I am remarried and we've been trying for our first for 20 cycles now. I got pg and lost that baby @7weeks... got pg right away after before first AF. Old OB made a rash decision & mistakenly caused the loss of that babe... 2nd opinion confirmed it was a new pregnancy. (long story) Lost that babe @5.5 wks.

We're hoping to have at least 1 babe together, possibly 2 Lord willing... I quit a few meds *jic* that contributed (daypro, amitiza) right now I'm just on the darvocet, flexeril & ambien. Rheumie added sevalla :(

It took me three years of trying to first concieve, we had all the checks both me and my husband to be told that all was OK with us both, I miscarried at 8-10 weeks and it then took me a further 3 years to concieve again, so all in all 6 years to successfully have a child, the pregnancy was great, no complications and my FM symptoms almost dissapeared I never felt so good. I am not on any meds for my FM I just take co-codamol when I need to and I didn't need to when I was pregnant but was told that it would be OK if I needed to. When my first child was 3 I decided to have another and came off the pill and thought it would take ages to concieve again, 4 months later I was pregnant, this time it was awful, I didn't have any pregnancy complications but my FM symptoms were much worse than normal, probably due to holding a full time job and running about after a toddler.

Are you trying to get pregnant Celena or do you have kids already?

I had FM through both of my pregnancies, with my first one the symptoms of FM almost completely dissapeared although I had a lot of lower back discomfort but that is normal in any pregnancy, I was able to cope with the new baby, I didn't breast feed so that other people could do some of the feeds while I got my well earned sleep. Although my FM symptoms were alot worse I decided to have another baby and second time around was awful, I have never been in so much pain and it hasn't got better after giving birth but don't let this put you off. Having kids is the best thing that has happened to me, they give me something to live for, cheer me up when I am feeling blue and keep me going. If you have a strong support system around you or people who are willing to help with the baby even if they don't understand FM then you will be OK. You will find a way to cope because you will love your child so much you will do anything for them.

I want to have a baby(s) more than anything in this world, but I am terrified of so many things

-will I be strong enough to make myself get thru a pregnancy?

-will I be a good mom?

-CAN I be a good mom?

-would me having kids be a horrible crime....my husband thinks I would be a bad mom and it would be cruel to let any kid have me as a mom.
