When Fibromaylgia is not Your Only Chronic Illness

This group is for those of us who live with not only fibromyalgia, but also additonal life-long chronic disorder(s). I live with severe Narcolepsy with cataplexy, Fibromaylaig, and Rheumatioid Arthritis. I cannot drive anymore or work a normal job. Life is hard, but it is good to have friends who understand and want to support one another spiritually and emotionally.

    Hey all,

I have Fibromyalgia, Endometriosis, Depression with Anxiety and Panic Attacks, Migranes, IBS, and I'm in recovery from Anorexia and Bulimia. today has been a pretty tough day emotionally and I'm just so tired of dealing with all this crap. I get angry with myself and with my life and I sometimes wish I would just wake up one day and be fine, and get to do all the things I want to do and actually feel good about myself, and feel good everywhere, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It's so hard fighting these demons. I'm still trying to work with them, and stay positive but it's so hard sometimes. I feel fortunate theres sites like this, and groups like this where people can go to vent and find understanding. Thanks to all. I hope that everyone is having a pain-free happy day.

I have quite a laundry list, most of which started in my 20's (I'm 53 now).....endometriosis, hyperthyroidism treated with radioactive iodine 20+ years ago, so now I don't have a thyroid anymore, so I  have to take thyroid hormone for life, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, sleep apnea, carpal tunnel, severe tendinitis & plantar fasciitis in my feet, chronic sinus problems, vitreous detachment (eye problems), high blood pressure, chronic fatigue, generalized anxiety disorder, depression (both controlled with meds).  I think that's it.  Every day, it's always something driving me nuts.  GRRRRR!

I have been dealing with RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Distrophy) for the past 5yrs & 9months as well as the Fibro.
Also have Osteoarthritis, Frozen Shoulder & just got over a bout of multiple Pulminary Embolisums (Blood Clots) in each lung...now taking blood thinners with all my pain meds.
But Wow when I read about others....I feel I should not complain, some of you sure have a plate full.....Take care!

I don't know how to add myself to the group lol. I have systemic lupus, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, antiphospholipid antibody syndrome, IBS, gastroparesis, overactive bladder, type 2 diabetes, hypothyroidism, polycystic ovarian syndrome, varicose veins etc etc. I had my spleen(s) removed in 2001 (I had 4, you're supposed to have one, although only one was functioning and eating my platelets). I had deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary emboli in 2001, was in a coma on life support for a week. There are support groups for fibro, for lupus, but it's not easy to find someone with multiple things, so it's hard to relate. Ty for this group, and I'm hoping I figure out how to send an add invite lol :-) Take care everyone, be well, God bless!

This is overwhelming. I see myself in so many of you. The drs, the meds, the variety of FM related illnesses.......the FRUSTRATION!!!!!! I am glad to know I'm not alone, but I can't dwell on it, either. I'm having a lot of trouble navigating this site. You can reach me at myspace.com/sherylsyorkies

I kind of figured that IBS was associated with my FMS but I had no idea others had the same problem. While I sympathize with everyone it is comforting to know I am not alone. Maybe this awareness will help me the most. Thank You.

I have fibro, chronic fatigue, hypothyroidism, rheumatioid arthritis, osteioarthritis, migraines, obsessive-compulsive disorder and now we are checking on a sleep disorder.... if it "aint" one thing it is another that is causing the pain but mostly the great fibro just about does me in...
