Animals Helping You

I wanted to start this discussion by stating that Doc (you can see a picture of him on my profile pictures) is my dog while Bashful is more like my husbands dog. Doc is the bigger of the two and he is mommy's baby and when I can not get up out of bed or when I fall he will actually help me up. He helps me so much. He knows when I will be getting sick(er) because he follows me everywhere and sure enough within 2 hours I start feeling like crap. Bashful helps out in trying to snuggle with me, but when I am sick Doc gets protective. They are both very good guard dogs and Bashful is the one to tell him to go get Daddy. So Doc protects me while Bashful will go get someone else in the house if I need help. Not to mention, I have a cat named Danica, a rat named Simon, a hamster named Dusty, and a turtle named Erotica. They all help me de-stress.

That is so funny... my husband and I noticed the same thing about my dog spikey.  When I am not feeling well he does follow me everywhere and when I sit, he sits.  it's really weird because just a few weeks ago I really went downhill with some major problems and before it happened he was really acting strange around me.  He walked right next to my feet and  I would almost trip over him,  and I was a little upset because I thought "why is he doing this?? I something the matter with him?"  I guess it was his intuition or something because  I had to go to the hospital the next day.  I guess they really know!  But I LOVE.. LOVE having him around when I am not well and just sit or lay, he stays with me.  He is such a love.  Nice discussion!  Thanks!  I'll put his picture up here.

My cat Max is the same way! In fact, I'm spawled out in my recliner
with the keyboard on my stomach right now trying not to disturb Max who
is also on my stomach/lap! Hr is my lap baby when I have a bad flare
up. If I'm sad, he curls up into my face. When I had spine surgery in
my cervical spine, he slept curled up around my neck for a week
afterward. Last night I sat out on our deck crying with my husband as I
worked through another memory of child abuse (yet another issue (I'm
dealing with) and Max sat at the sliding glass door with his little
pink nose pressed into the screen, his paw up as if reaching for me. I
got up to go inside and he practically climbed up my body to curl up
into me. I rescued Max 2 years ago from the shelter. He was 7 years old
then. The shelter had a hard time placing him because he is deaf,
declawed and was 7 at the time. I looked at that sweet little face,
that fancy face looking kitty and I was hooked. He had to come home
with me! It was just a few months later that my spinal issues and my
fibro got worse. It turned out that Max and I have rescued each other!

I have a cat named Cy.  He followes me around also when I am not feeling well.  I wish he would stay out from under my feet, because I have fallen many times because fo my ailments.  I guess that is his way to make me slow down.  When I am in pain he wants to touch my face with his paw and he looks at me like, "Mommy are you ok?"  I love him even though he fights with his cousin Calamity Jane.

I have a Boston/Chiuhauha...I know...wierd mix; Boston from front and Chiuhauha from back...lol.  Mia is adorable and makes me laugh. For instance, I went to the petstore this weekend and put doggie coats and sweaters on her...I have not stopped laughing just thinking about it.
