    I love http://ravelry.com

And http://knittinghelp.com is great, too.  That's where I found the videos to teach long-tail cast on and continental knitting.  That's what really sparked my current (going on two years) obsession with knitting and then shortly afterwards spinning.

Ravelry is such a resource! It is so easy to get lost on that site! All the patterns and special groups for everything from lace to Fair isle; beginner to expert. It is like a little knitting world isn't it?

You can be my friend on Ravelry. I'm known as DyharKnitter. For great discounts/sale yarns, I use Webs (www.yarn.com), Little Knits (www.littleknits.com), and, Ravelry has a group (name is blank to me now) that lists sales. If you go to my profile you can see the groups I belong to. It is clearly labeled as a yarn sale group.

Hi Diane! So glad you joined us! Thanks for the ideas and I will try to find you on Ravelry! What is on your needles these days? I have about 3 pairs of socks going and I am still working a a design-as-I-go sweater for myself. Yikes! K
