Some fibromyalgics say that massage therapy helps them relax a bit
more and eases those tense bunched up muscles while others say that
they really can't stand to be touched at all.
I'm curious about whether this is different for guaiers, bearing in
mind of course that one can always tell the massage therapist to go
lighter or deeper into the muscles.
I've had a few massages before I began the protocol and after I
started it. Personally, I have found a difference in how massage
therapy worked in my body. Before the protocol I would turn into jelly
by the end of the session. And I was relaxed for at least 24 hours.
Since beginning the protocol five months ago I really can't relax
deeply enough to enjoy it. My gut instinct is telling me that this is
because the guai is working so hard in my body that it just plain can't
relax. I am hoping that as I clear more I can once again enjoy massage
therapy.
In some other groups which discuss the protocol there seems to be a
vibe that you shouldn't talk about the negative aspects of it. I would
like to change that. I feel that we need honesty here. We need to truly
see the good, the bad, and the ugly in order to understand our body's
illness and how it is reacting to medication or therapies.
