Fibromyalgia & Hypoglycemia

(Please pardon the strange layout. This was copy/pasted and this gets a bit messed up when translating on the WeAre community pages.) "Fibromyalgia and Hypoglycemia: Their Combined Morbidity and Therapy with Guaifenesin and Diet Information For Physicians" by R. Paul St. Amand, M.D. Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine, Harbor, UCLA and Claudia Marek, Medical Assistant  Abstract:      We describe fibromyalgia and its reversal using the weakly uricosuric and mucolytic drug, guaifenesin. Click HERE to read the City of Hope results. It will pull up a PDF file. The following review is a response that Dr. St. Amand devised to explain it in condensed format and a bit less techno mumble for the rest of us. Have Dictionary.com handy, though, because there are still lots of terms to look up and familiarize yourself with to follow along. ______________________________________________________ REVIEW OF THE ONLINE PUBLICATION FROM THE JOURNAL OF EXPERIMENTAL BIOLOGY AND MEDICINE --June 5, 2008 High plasma levels of MCP-1 and eotaxin provide evidence for an immunological basis of fibromyalgia. AMAND, M.D. 4560 ADMIRALTY WAY, SUITE 355 MARINA DEL REY, CA. 90292 Phone: (310) 577-7510 www.fibromyalgiatreatment.com FIBROMYALGIA Fibromyalgia is a cyclic and a symptomatically progressive illness that affects millions of people regardless of race. It is manifested by many complaints that initially last only a few days, but are later unrelenting. Recurrent attacks eventually involve multiple body areas and systems until patients simply cycle from bad to worse. Patients are typically referred from doctor to doctor based on individual complaints. The partially-informed professional may fail to grasp the extent of the problem and divide the disease into symptom-packages that lead to medical dead ends such as chronic fatigue, systemic candidiasis, myofascial pain,...
