Reports to VAERS Following HPV Vaccination
As of May 1, 2009, more than 24 million doses of Gardasil were distributed in the United States.
As of May 1, 2009, there were 13,758 VAERS reports of adverse events following Gardasil vaccination in the United States. Of these reports, 93% were reports of events considered to be non-serious, and 7% were reports of events considered to be serious.

15-year-old, otherwise healthy girl named Kenzie has come down with a
debilitating, fatigue type illness after being innoculated with the
vaccine, Gardasil. The FDA says Gardasil, "'is an
important cervical cancer prevention tool that will potentially benefit
the health of millions of women."

Merck & Co. and the Food and Drug Administration in June expanded the possible adverse reactions for Gardasil,
the widely advertised cervical cancer vaccine for girls and young
women, to include joint and muscle pain, fatigue, physical weakness and
general malaise.
The new warning - added to the package insert and to an information
sheet given to patients - was approved June 12 by the FDA, which states
