I have been raising my grandson for the last five years. He was 10 months old when we got him.  It has been a challenge.  I thought I was going to die for the first month.  He weighed 27 pounds and he couldn't crawl, sit-up or anything.  It was sad.  I had to carry him all the time.  His parents are finally starting to try to terminate my guardianship.  I love him so much that I don't know what I am going to do if his parents get to take him home.  They live several states away and I am going to miss him so much.  My daughter and her 2 children have also lived with us for the last 5+ years.  They finally moved out a couple of months ago.  Now my other daughter and her 15 month old daughter had to move in.  I love all of them but my husband and I would love to have the house to ourselves for a change.  I am still working and it is a struggle for me to take care of  all the things that I need to do.  We are at the time of our lives that we should be done raising kids and grandchildren.  I think I am just worn out!

I am back y'all. Sorry I have been gone so long. I can't wait to see the new grand baby pics that have been put up. I will put one up of my grand daughter, she has a new baby brother coming next month too. I will get caught up on grandparent lives here in our group and soon post about the grandparent happenings in my life. Missed y'all while I was away.

I have 4 grandkids and the hope of having more.  I love them dearly!  By the time the third one came, I having so much pain in my shoulders and upper arms, I couldn't hold her without having my arms supported by pillows.  I have some pics I can post, but I'm waiting till I can get more recent pics of the youngest one.

I have 9 grandkids, with 5 of them born last year.  In Feb of this year I had gotten really sick with some kind of infection that put me in the hospital for 2 weeks.  I also had cellulitis which caused the most pain I have ever had.  I have not been able to keep my grandkids much since.  I have been so very tired and hurting from my fibro.  My Dr has included 2 more drugs this week following my visit.  I am so tired of not having any relief.  Being in Kansas the weather changes by the hour and I can't wait till summer gets here.  I am hoping for it to be a good summer so my grandkids can come over and play in the park setting I made for them.  We are also expecting another grandchild this next fall, maybe twins.  Hope this finds all well.

We are so very lucky to have these little one in our lives especially with our health issues, it gives us hope and a reason to push on they need us. And we need them . It is so different to be a grandparent than a parent and I love every minute of it.
