What spinal disorders do you suffer from?

I currently have 23 vertebrae with various issues that include: spondylolisthesis, spondylosis, stenosis, 10 herniated discs and 13 bulging discs. These disorders definitely complicate life with fibromyalgia, but I keep a positive outlook and just take it a moment at a time.

I missed one disorder. I also suffer from degenerative disc disease as well.

I'm just finding out that I alsohave spinal issues.  They called one degenerative joint disease rather than degen. disc. disease.  Not sure if it is the same or not.  My cartalidge is gone in 4 cervical discs.  Then, narrowing of the spinal canal caused by some spondylosis(?), and then my tailbone is fused to by pelvis (from birth.)  It had no effects on me until Fibro, and age.  Still learning more.

These things have been progressing in my body, apparently fairly rapidly but were ignored (by me mainly) and written off as FM.  Big mistake.  I'm looking forward to sharing and learning in this community.  Thanks for starting it Gina!

I have several bulging disks and degenerative disc disease in my neck and lumbar area. I've had two disc surgeries. I have sacreilioses (? spelling. my tail bone is always hurting and the doc gave it a name).

Hi, I'm new to Wearefibro but I have spondyolysis between L4 and L5.  I've been told that nothing other than strengthening my stomach muscles can help.

Hi Barb,  Just a thought for you.  Although 1, or 2 people might tell you there is nothing to be done for something, there's always someone else out there with something you can try.  I always do the research myself and decide if there is anything I want to try.  I also have spondylosis in my cervical spine, and according to a book I'm reading, Myofascial trigger point release therapy "can" help with it.  If you are interested, I'll let you know more- or check out the Book Review Community, I reviewed the book there:-)

Hi Glenda, Thanks for posting about that book.  I'll definitely read the review.  I agree with you, I don't always just accept what the docs tell me and am desperate to get some relief somehow.  Thanks for posting!

I have degenerative disc diseas too.  About 2 years ago I had terrible back pain.  I had a MRI done and they found the DDD.;  My doctor said that the discs had fused themself together, which was great for me.  I have a feeling that it is happening again.  It is so hard m=, because you don't know if it the Fibro or something else going wrong.  I also have arthrtis in both of my knees , carparal tunnnel and IBS amoung other problems.  How do you deal with all of this without having to go to the doctor for every pain you have?
