Fibromyalgia and the Kids

How does Fibromyalgia affect your relationship with your kids? Are your kids way ahead of the game and understand what you're going through or are they (sometimes understandably) a little bemused by your condition/symptoms?

Most of the meds are safe to be taken during pregnancy although they will probably want to monitor you more closely because of the meds. I have 2 kids one is 3 years and one is 3 months, it is hard but well worth it, when I am having a bad day I take the kids to the park and I can sit while they play, on a good day we will go for short walks etc, my son is too young to understand but he hasn't known any different so hopefully it won't affect him too much.

No kids yet, but my husband and I have decided to try having a baby. I am very concerned about having to be off my medications during the pregnancy. I am happy to see that remission is somewhat common during pregnancy though. I was diagnosed just 3 years ago, but I've been sick since I was 13. I'm also concerned that I will pass it along to our child but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I'm assuming that I will be taken off my meds by my doctor once I'm pregnant? I'm really jumping into things, I've already picked out a crib!
