Yes, constipation.  I was diagnosed with IBS by a gastroenterologist in 1999, a few years after my FM diagnosis.

I am taking DHA (fish oil) with my prenatal vitamins and have had NO constipation during pregnancy, which is amazing.  I have had no IBS.  I think it is the DHA.  I also have endometriosis, so I wonder if not getting my period for these 9 months has also helped my IBS.

I have both problems.  Fish Oil is supposed to be good for your digestive track as well as your heart.  I am going to try and get some next month. 

Sorry to hear you have endometriosis Jennifer.  My best friend has it and she never got to have kids.  She finally had the hysterectomy but at least she is out of pain.  Your baby really is a miracle baby.  Congratz.

I alternate between the two, weird! Mainly constipation though with bouts of the other. The fish oil pills hurt my stomach, well actually I guess it bothers my acid reflux more than my stomach. I have a hietia hernia, I can't spell it but I have it, lol.

I think  a lot of my IBS was caused from the pain meds I take...the morphine seems to constapate me horribly...but I got something my sister bought me at the healt food store called MOVE.....I took it to my dr who was highly happy that I got it....so for those who dont have diahrea...i would get some...its only 20 bucks and last for months....

Culturelle. Everyone needs it. May bloat and be gassy just a few days after starting, but passes (no pun intended) quickly, as bowels adjust. Very important way to prevent MDRO (multi drug resistant organisms), such as c diff, which can occur when antibiotics are used.
