I think I had this for a long time, but the doctors just were never capable of putting two diagnoses together to make the one I actually have! It also was not as known then as it is now...that's why it is important for us to be one voice and spread awareness! :0)

I had my father pass away at Christmas time and I had an accident at work that really brought out the pain.  My FM has progressed and I have gotten worse over the years.  I am 36 and feel 70.  I wish there could have been a study available that would've tracked my decline.  Anyway, I am convinced that a trauma, mental or physical, causes it to come out of hibernation.

two car accidents that totaled the car.

They happened within 6 months of each other.
At the time I was trying to get my business off the ground.  The stress of managing my salon took a huge toll on  me.  As well as fighting with my brother about the accountant.

I had 2 falls w/ head injuries, 3 car accidents w/1 head injury, 3 c-sections, 2 other surgeries within a 10 year period. The last car accident was the icing on the cake so to speak, it became unmanageable after that, until I stopped trying to live a normal life. I also had Mono.
