This group is about brainwave entrainment as an alternative to relieve fibromyalgia. Brainwave entrainment means the use of special vibrations (sounds and special music) to synchronize the brain with desired mental states. For example we can use fast sounds or music to relax and fast sounds or music to get arousal. It i said that pain is the interpretation of the brain to some stimuli. If we can interfere that stimuli with special sounds, you will get relief from pain. In the next posts I will release several combination of sounds an music so you can share your experiences with the rest of the group.
This Community is being created to add information regarding legislation at the local, state, and federal levels that may effect all Pain Disorder Patients. This information could be regarding Insurance issues, Prescription issues, Medical care, etc. This community is not designed to sway you one way or the other, but just to give you the facts and what is going on. A community for survivors of abuse to come together, to share, to support and to heal. Be it child abuse or domestic violence, physical, emotional, mental or sexual abuse, all survivors of abuse are welcome. Please remember not to judge or speak harshly about something a member shares. We all have a story that is personal, and it takes a great amount of courage to share it. Let's support each and encourage each other. The scars from abuse will always be there, but the hurt we feel from it may be lessened by sharing our experiences not only with other abuse survivors, but also with fellow fibromites.

I wanted to start a group where we could come and support each other spiritually, no matter what our beliefs or chosen religion, or if we chose to forego any type of religion. Everyone has beliefs dear to them. Many of us, I think, use many avenues for pain control, and ways to keep control in their lives. This forum is for OPEN MINDED folks who want to learn about others and how they cope. I am a Christian who has great respect for all religions. I think an opportunity to learn is a gift we should all recieve and accept. NOTE: No discussions here should try to convert or tell someone they are wrong. Only to listen, share, and grow as intelligent adults.
TN Lovers Welcome!!! I'll write more later!!!

12 yrs of suffering one loss after another, researching. pain so bad it surely would kill me,unhealth, a myriad of idiotic MDs and other so called health professionals, discrimination, and almost total withdrawal from life, scams, and treatments that made medieval torture chambers look mild, I gave up, took charge and made myself better. At age 46 I set some goals and made myself some promises. I quit saying "God, why me?" and started asking for the strength to understand. My goal was to get feeling healthier, and to lose 100 lbs by age 50, even if it meant gastric bypass (which I haven't had and don't want). What I did is working, therefore I would like to share it with others. This group will have topics for each step I took and how I decided which things to do. I will use the blog, and article section and invite others to do so also. I am not selling anything, I am instructing in a way to gain control of your illness. Please join me on this journey. NO CURE JUST HOPE.........Lynnette.
I think it would be great to maybe compare notes with people that have FMS from other countries..are there different medications, remedies, exercise, drs, clinics and books...I hope this will help us all and give some other options....
