The Fibromyalgia Controversy by M. Clement Hall

This book is just amazing and a must read.  When I have more time, I will start a book group discussion for this book.  Meanwhile, if you've read it or are reading it leave comments here!  It's a top FM book on my list.

Just added it to my wish list!  I would have never picked up the book based on the title..haha.  thanks for the recommendation.  Did they have it at your library, or do you own it?  Maybe I could borrow it?

I took it out of the library, but will buy it in the future.  The title is definitely off-putting but once you start reading it you'll see the controversy he's talking about.  Some might get offended, but I didn't.  I'm the kind of patient he wrote the book for.  I sometimes think FM is overdiagnosed and think many docs are undereducated on the condition.  I also think there are people with other conditions that are overlooked - he discusses a lot that makes fibromalgia a controversy.  Including how many ppl. have to go on disability because they can't get the right treatment.  FM is manageable for some ppl.  I don't appear to be one of them, but then again, I've never had pain-killers prescribed to me, so who knows?  Maybe I could be working fulltime again!  Grrrr....  see what I mean by controversy?

Sounds very interesting...I will check it out.  Have you read Dr. Wayne Dyer new bood "No more excuses" or Brodies "Mind Virus"...it is about how we can over ride mind sets, DNA, heridity, and disease...very compelling books...They Can't Find Anything Wrong by Dr. David Clarke is good and Dyer/Brodie take up where he left off.
