The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Clair Davies, NCTMB with Amber Davies, NCTMB

I just got this book but was able to start using it in my pain areas the day I received it.  After reading "Fibro and Chronic Myofascial Pain" I already had the basics so I just started the massage.  When you find a trigger point, it hurts, but when you massage it like they tell you to, the pain goes away, or the range of motion increases!  I'll update after I get further.  Has anyone else read this book?  What do you think?

Benia posted a link under articles in Team Fibro to diagrams of trigger points and their pain referral patterns. You might want to look at that too.

I think this is the best book ever written for self-help with chronic pain.  There is research to back it up and it works!  I'm working with a chiropractor that does myofascial release as well and the 2 really compliment each other, but you can use it alone also.  Flares are still flares and hurt like the dickens but for the chronic, all the time pains of all sorts, this is an invaluable tool.
