I love Stephen King, my favorite by him is The Stand. I love Dean Koontz, his is harder to pick a fav. I also love John Grisham, Robin Cook, Michael Connely, and John Sanford. I am very lucky to have quite a little library of hardback books of my own so I read all the time. We had a McKay's New and Used bookstore back in E. TN and they had an endless supply of my fav's and bargain books so I stocked up. I have most all of the older King's. There is a lot that he has come out with that I would love to get but the closet McKay's here is either to drive back to Chattanooga or drive to Nashville and it's too far right now. Plus I have so many that I haven't read yet.
Oh yeah, I used to love V.C. Andrews and still have a lot of her books.
My favorites are mystery/suspense, but they must be well-written! I love Elizabeth Kostova's The Historian and I am about to start her new one, The Swan Thieves. I am just finishing Wilkie Collins The Woman in White and it goes on my list of favs.
Is anyone on Shelfari or Goodreads? Those are great sites for comparing books. Here is my page: Michele on Shelfari
I am also attempting to write a novel and blog within a writing community. Feel free to check out the blog (and maybe the book someday): Southern City Mysteries.
I LOVE James Patterson - everything he writes. If you like murder mystery, you've got to check them out. I am on Goodreads. I'll be back when I start a new book. I go from Mystery to Romance and back again.
Ok, it might be kind of embarrasing to admit this...but i love all things Twilight by Stepanie Meyer....so i will shamelessly same i love reading Fanfiction. I have become totally addicted to it. It's a great outlet for me when im feeling down.
No need to be embarrassed Michelle...I just finished reading the series with my 10 year old granddaughter (although she's not allowed to read book 4 until she's much older).
I love King, Koontz, Martini, Coban...but will read most anything. I just finished reading Alice Sebolds 3 books and am now into The Story of the Irish Race by Seumas MacManus.
I love a wide variety tho mostly fiction. I like sci-fi / fantasy and who done its. I also like some true crime and some inspirational/self help/philosophy. I am currently on a double kick, The Cat Who series and Dragonriders/Dragons of Pern.
As an English major and librarian, I find it very difficult to narrow down the books I love. I do love historical fiction. Some of my favorite authors are Zora Neale Hurston and Barbara Kingsolver. If I miss the characters when I finish a book and am sad to be done reading it, then it was a good book.
