My Poems about my illnesses
March 06, 2010" LAST WISHES "
I want to walk down a gravel road.
Hear stones crunching under my feet.
On one side Daisys and Black eyed Susans,
On the other a field of swaying wheat.
I want to sit at an old picnic table,
Near a lake, in the woods, under trees.
That shouldn't be asking for too much.
There was a time I could do this when ever I pleased.
I want to ride my bike, take a hike,
Dig my toes down in hot ocean sand,
Smell cow plop all over pasture land.
I want to rake up a pile of red yellow and brown leaves.
Alas, a fineal plea amongst all of these,
Is to thank Jehovah one more time on bended knees

ARTHRITIS { Self Portrait }
She stands very tall, very strong
Her feet planted firmly in the ground
She could weather any storm
She did not waver in the strongest wind
Her beauty was subtle, ever changing
Like the seasons, with the seasons
Her arms stretched out to hold up ones in need
Her branches leafed out to shade others
Now shes old, wrinkled, knotted
Her limbs are twisted with pain
Oh Jehovah look, in your eyes shes still standing
Hopefully, forever to remain

MY LOBSTER CLAWS
My hands are like lobsters claws
Just one of my latest flaws
I can't pick up,hold onto, or grab
Thats why I've become such a crab
Because of all the things I used to do
I tell my daughter
I now feel like a fish out of water
Still I have so many blessings
like the sands near the sea
Someday I'm gonna be
Back to what I used to be

SOON THE SUN WILL COME OUT
SOON THE SUN WILL COME OUT FROM BEHIND THE CLOUDS
AND YOU WILL NOT BE HIDDEN DEEP WITHIN THE DARK
UNFAMILIAR CROWDS
YOUR BODY'S ENDLESS PAIN YOU PRAY, IN TIME DISAPPEARS
YOUR THOUGHTS GO BACK TO YOUTH AND PAINLESS YEARS
BUT HUSH, CLEAR AWAY THOSE UNATTAINABLE DREAMS AND
UNNECESSARY FEARS
FOR NOW, EVEN IN THE RAIN, EVEN WITH YOUR PAIN,STAND
TALL AND FIRM AND PROUD,
SOON THE SUN WILL COME OUT FROM BEHIND THE CLOUDS.
AND YOU WILL NOT BE HIDDEN DEEP WITHIN THE DARK
UNFAMILIAR CROWDS
YOUR BODY'S ENDLESS PAIN YOU PRAY, IN TIME DISAPPEARS
YOUR THOUGHTS GO BACK TO YOUTH AND PAINLESS YEARS
